The Build–A–Chomps competition was designed as a fun way to track attendance while constructing a cut-out of Cleveland Browns mascot Chomps. Thank you to Jeannie Yontz from Caldwell Exempted Village School District for the inspiration!
Attached is two printable packets each with a different options for this competition so your district has freedom to utilize which version works best. Feel free to adjust the contest as needed. Below is an explanation of both options:
This option is designed for an individual classroom. The classroom teacher sets the parameters including the attendance goal, decides the contest prize, and running period. Each student will get the chance to build their own Chomps, adding a piece once they complete the attendance goal. As you will see once the packet is downloaded, this Chomps fits on the a 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper or the fun background provided.
This option is designed for an entire school. The principal or admin sets the attendance goal, decides the contest prize, and running period. Each classroom will get the chance to work together to build Chomps. The classroom size Build–A–Chomps is larger and is more fitting for a door or bulletin board.
